CARP IN TERIYAKI SAUCE: RECIPE
Many Asian recipes are not as complicated as they seem at first glance. Try cooking carp with teriyaki sauce and maybe it will become your signature dish.
Carp with teriyaki sauce in the oven
Are you still wary of Asian cuisine and think that you won’t be able to cook these delicacies? Fear not, but do! Especially since sometimes the most difficult thing in Oriental cooking is the names of the dishes. As for the following recipe, even the name of the dish is not very exotic.
Carp with teriyaki sauce is sure to please you and your family. And all the necessary products for its preparation at any time you can buy in the supermarket chain METRO.
Cooking carp with teriyaki
Carp with teriyaki sauce, the recipe for which we offer to your attention, will be cooked no more than 40 minutes. The fish will need to be marinated beforehand. In the liquid with spices, the carp should spend at least 2 hours. The best option is to marinate it in the fridge overnight. The longer the pieces of fillets / steaks will spend in the sauce-vinegar mixture, the richer will be the taste of the ready dish.
You will have 6 servings of carp with teriyaki sauce from the number of products below.
Carp – 1-1,2 kg of fillets/steaks;
Sauce (soy sauce and teriyaki) – 4 tbsp;
sesame – 2 tbsp;
white vinegar – 1.5 tbsp;
dried ground garlic – 1 tsp;
ginger – 0,5 tsp;
honey – 1.5 tbsp;
brown sugar – 2 tbsp;
Greens (parsley, onion) – to taste.
Step by step instructions:
Thaw the fillets/steaks, wash, dry. If necessary remove fins, bones. If we work with fillets we cut them in portions.
Take a small bowl, prepare a marinade in it. Grate ginger in a bowl, add garlic, vinegar, honey, sesame, sauces, mix well.
Pour the marinade over the pieces of carp. You can do it in a plastic bag, then it will be easier to distribute the liquid evenly and you won’t have to turn the fish again – it will be enough to turn the bag upside down.
Put the carp in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Several times turn it or the bag, in which slices of fillets / steaks are marinated.
Preheat the oven to 170-180 °C. In a suitable container put pieces of fish, pour marinade on top and sprinkle with brown sugar. Send it to bake for about 20 minutes.
Take carp with teriyaki out of the oven. Sprinkle ready pieces of fillet / steaks with chopped greens and serve with rice or vegetables.
