A partir del jueves, una función llamada Scan se actualiza y se coloca en el centro de la cámara de la aplicación, lo que le permite identificar una serie de cosas en el mundo real, como la ropa o las razas de perros.
La colocación prominente de Scan en Snapchat significa que la compañía se está convirtiendo poco a poco no sólo en una aplicación de mensajería, sino en un motor de búsqueda visual. Scan también ayuda a resolver un problema creciente para los usuarios de Snapchat: cómo encontrar los millones de efectos de realidad aumentada, o Lenses, creados por la comunidad de creadores de Snap. Gracias a su capacidad para sugerir Lentes en función de lo que estás mirando, Scan podría dar más visibilidad a las Lentes que la gente hace, incentivándolas a seguir haciendo contenido de RA para Snapchat.
