Nissan is preparing to participate in Super Taikyu. This year, the Nissan Z GT4 coupe will start the national Japanese series of endurance races. The official presentation of the sports car will take place on September 28. On the eve of this event, the company published a picture of the novelty.
The new racing Nissan Z GT4 retains the familiar profile of the seventh-generation serial two-seater coupe in the Fairlady Z sports car line. Production of the model began in the spring of 2022. The sports car for Super Taikyu has the same long hood line, sloping roof, splitter and adjustable anti-wing. The livery is made in the colors of the Japanese flag: white with red stripes on the sides, which turn into the image of a checkered flag. This flag has been used by the marshals for more than a century to signal the end of the race.
This year, the national Japanese series of endurance auto races Super Taikyu was the longest since 2010: seven stages at six venues. Five of them have already taken place. There are two three-hour races on October 15-16 at Okayama International Circuit, where Formula 1 races are held, and a five-hour race at Suzuka Circuit on November 26-27.
