House Bill (HB) 3 of the 86th Regular Session, 2019, established district local optional teacher designation systems and the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) that are dedicated to recruiting, rewarding, and retaining highly effective teachers in all schools, with particular emphasis on high-need and rural schools. Ìý
In the first two years of implementation, over 4,600 teachers have been designated and over 230 local educational agencies (LEAs) are in the process of having their local designation system approved.Ìý
To support LEAs in developing their local designation system in alignment with the cohort E timeline, the agency will host a webinar series that begins on September 1st. Ìý Ìý
