Monitoring and Interventions
The Self-Reported Data Unit (SRDU) within the Office of Governance works together with local educational agencies (LEAs) to improve data submissions and ensure that they are in compliance with related state and federal laws, rules, and regulations. The team supports multiple data-driven systems, including the state accountability system, and TEA program areas by examining the data submitted through the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) as well as Performance-Based Monitoring (PBM) data validation indicators.
°Õ³ó±ðÌýResults Driven Accountability (RDA) Data and Reports, formerly Performance-Based Monitoring Analysis System (PBMAS), is an automated data system that reports annually on the performance of LEAs in selected program areas (Bilingual Education/English as a Second Language/Emergent Bilingual, Other Special Populations, and Special Education).
The School Improvement Division supports the state’s goal to improve low-performing schools by reviewing, evaluating, monitoring, and intervening with campuses and their districts to ensure excellence in education for all students. The major responsibilities of the division include monitoring and interventions for state accountability, federal accountability, and dropout recovery.
